  Yamaguchi University International Collaboration Office (YUICO), Bangkok, was established by Kasetsart University (KU) and Yamaguchi University (YU) in November 2016. The YUICO Bangkok Office is located in the building of Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand. The YUICO Bangkok supports Thai students and researchers who want to study and enrich their experience at YU. We publish and distribute brochures and leaflets introducing the life and study at YU to Thai students and Japanese students at KU. We also provide counseling for Thai students and their guardians to explain about what YU has to offer and help YU admission procedures. Furthermore, we are trying to establish an alumni association and international students’ network of YU in Thailand.

Activities

• Supporting Global Students
  We provide support to international students from Yamaguchi University so that they can adjust to studying and living in Thailand. We also offer Thai students and their guardians the opportunity to know the life of studying abroad at YU by inviting them to study abroad fairs and holding briefing sessions.
• Supporting Alumni Activities
  The Yamaguchi University Overseas Alumni Association Thailand Chapter was established in November 2017. Our office supports the alumni activities and strives to build an alumni network among former YU international students and researchers in Thailand.

• Directions to YUICO, Bangkok
  YUICO Bangkok is accessible from different directions. Main routes are from two airports as follows:
  1. From Don Mueang International Airport:
     By taxi: Approximately 15 minutes (100 Baht)
  2. From Suvarnabhumi International Airport:
     By taxi: Approximately an hour (300 Baht)
     By train & taxi: You can take the Airport Rail Link train to Phaya Thai station (30 minutes, 45 Baht) , transfer to a BTS sky train at Phaya Thai station and get off the train at Mo Chit station (10 minutes, 34 Baht). Next take a taxi to YUICO (20 minutes, 100 Baht). Taking a train is recommended during morning and evening rush hours, especially on Friday, to avoid major traffic jams.
