Consul to the Republic of Korea in Hiroshima Visits Yamaguchi University

On the 16th of May the newly appointed consul at the Consulate for the Republic of Korea in Hiroshima, Consul Hyung Keun Shin visited Yamaguchi University’s Yoshida Campus and met with President Marumoto and Vice-President and Head of the International Affairs Department, Dr. Matsuda.

At the meeting, the current state of international exchange between Yamaguchi University and universities in Korea was discussed and the possibility of future inter-university exchanges considered. Consul Shin expressed his willingness to assist future exchanges in any way possible.

After the meeting, Consul Shin was given a tour of the Commercial Goods Museum where he showed great interest in the numerous pottery pieces on exhibit.

Yamaguchi University is dedicated to propelling the exchange between itself and universities in Korea and hopes to not only increase the number of Korean students studying at Yamaguchi University but also the number of Japanese students studying in Korea.
